The holidays in a snowy Finland

I had been excited to visit Finland again. Maybe there would be snow... Maybe we could have a snowball fight! All of my Christmas wishes came true I can tell you! I celebrated a white Christmas with my family, and had a snowball fight on the first of January!

This holiday season was full of happiness! Christmas, a wedding, new year! I was smiling like a crazy! And every time I looked out of the window, there was snow! You can not make me happier! We usually visit Finland during Christmas, my family lives there and Christmas is the one of best times to visit! Christmas is really big in Finland, Santa Claus comes from Finnish Lapland did you know?

New years was a special surprise, at 11.30 pm we left the house and were stunned by the view. Snow was falling rapidly, we could not see any fireworks! It was such a magical experience! After lighting a few sparklers we started a snowball fight. Everyone joined, my aunts, uncles, cousins and some friends! The best start of the year in my life! After this, we went back inside to snack some more and went to bed at 3 am! The day after was a bit hard, but after a fresh morning walk we all looked happy again!

My winter jacket was much needed during these two weeks of snow! I'm secretly wishing for snow here in the Netherlands as well! I love the sound of fresh snow under my feet so much!

Do you love snow as much as I do? And how was your new years?!

See you soon with a new blogpost!
