All the food I ate in Prague and where!

PRAGUE FOOD | ANNA TWENTY SEVEN

Last week I was in Prague for a few days! I had an amazing time (will share more on the trip itself soon) and ate amazing food! In this blogpost I'll share what I have been eating and where! Starting with this amazing homemade raspberry lemonade the first day!

We arrived in the afternoon and had dinner after walking for a few hours. We stopped at Café Restaurant Museum Kampa, where I thought I ordered a vegetarian garlic pasta. But got a mussels garlic pasta instead! I didn't mind tho! I had ordered it (just didn't translate the words correctly) and had actually never tried mussels. I liked them but I liked the pasta itself more! The holiday had started adventurous.

Day two of the Prague trip started in our hotel, a very good breakfast (photos will follow later) and we headed off to the old town. We walked into the Jewish neighbourhood and were happy to find these trdelník's!

I choose a strawberry flavoured one, trdelník's are SO GOOD! I can't really explain what they are, but they are made on a charcoals stick, and the dough has sugar and cinnamon flavour. Mine was filled with strawberries and vanilla ice (ice baby)!

Next up was dinner! We were looking for a restaurant close to the Charles bridge and found one very close by: Hotel U Trí Pstrosu where they served traditional Czech food on the terrace! I had this goulash meat with Czech dumplings, I liked it but couldn't finish the dumplings. This was not my favourite dinner of the trip, but it was a nice experience anyway!

The dessert however looked and tasted AMAZING! This was a blackcurrant &l lemon ice cream with kiwi. The combination was so good and I really liked this after the heavy goulash meal!

The third day was dedicated to visiting the Prague castle. A huge terrain with only a few food options, we chose to have a hot dog with fresh home made lemonade. This was again, so good! I absolutely loved all the homemade lemonades in Prague (I usually only drink water and fruit juices).

For dinner I had once again a pasta (I LOVE pasta), this was a garlic chili pepper pasta. It was quite spicy but I loved it!

The desert was a nice cool-down from the pasta. This strawberry syrup pancake was amazing, a perfect end of the day!

On the last full day we had panini's and jus d'orange for lunch (the photo's didn’t turn out that well) and for dinner went to a restaurant in the old town area! This restaurant was quite full, and for a good reason!

Me and my boyfriend both wanted to try this goulash soup in a bread bowl! I thought it was one of the best things! I really love goulash and combined with this (heavy) bread is was a well-sized meal!

We took fries on the side because we weren't sure if only the bread would be enough. It was nice to have some fries but not necessary.

After the heavy bread & soup I ordered some blueberry pancakes. The Czech Republic is known for its many berries, so I was enjoying this very much! Another perfect end of the day (and holiday...)

I hope you liked this blogpost about (almost) all the food I ate in Prague! In following blogpost I will share more about my trip to Prague, and what I ate for breakfast.
Have you ever been to Prague?

Sincerely,
Anna
